Should the government have greater powers to monitor people's internet communications?
Tory's plan to change the current 'Communications Data Bill' in order to monitor people's internet accounts. Known by critics as the 'snoopers charter', the government and other organisations will be able to monitor what people look at and who they speak to online.
The Woolwich murder may be used by Theresa May, the Home Secretary, to revive plans for the 'snoopers’ charter' in order to protect the country against terrorism. Other MPs argue that the charter could be used for other reasons than keeping track of terrorists.

What will we be studying?
Throughout the General Studies course, we will be exploring 4 main areas, these are:
- Politics and Economics
- Social and Ethics
- Science and Technology
- Arts and Culture
We will look at how material that covers these areas, from recent and up to date news stories, to organisations involved and how they work. All relevant information and material will be posted to this blog to begin discussions and research building.
